FAQs

What is your jewelry made of?

We are committed to ethically sourcing stones, and we use recycled gold, platinum & sterling silver. We collect our stones from small mines around the world and list the stone origin on each product page description. We can also work with stones that are in your possession to create your new (up-cycled) jewelry.

How do I find my ring size?

As a New York-based studio, our default is to use U.S. ring sizing.

Rings - we work with quarter sizes. We get many questions on how to find the perfect ring fit and we are happy to help to get it right. As a general rule of thumb, the ring should slide, pretty easily, over the knuckle and take some effort to wiggle off. Fingers fluctuate in size throughout the day, and from day to day, so it is wise to measure a couple of times.

What are the differences between yellow, rose and white gold?

Metals such as copper, nickel, and zinc, are often mixed with pure gold to produce alloys of various shades. The metals that are mixed with gold will determine the color of the alloy. These colors can range from white to various shades of yellow, pink, red, & even blue or black. Most of our jewelry is made with 14K yellow gold using a proprietary alloy to ensure a consistent metal color. We are happy to create any of our jewelry in 18k, 22k, or platinum, too.

What is gold credit?

We recycle and use the gold you (might!) have sitting in an old jewelry box. We melt down precious metals and can apply the credit toward your custom project.

How do I clean and care for my jewelry?

Kalí Zoë jewelry is meant to be worn and enjoyed every day.

Handcrafted from recycled gold and stones, your new fine jewelry is created with love and will last lifetimes with the right care. Remove your jewelry while you engage in physical activity and sleep. Soak your jewelry in a combination of warm water and chemical-free soap then lightly scrub with a soft-bristled brush to revive shine.

Most of our jewelry is made in 14k gold. At home, use only warm water mixed with chemical-free soap and a soft-bristled brush to gently clean your jewelry. Be mindful of softer gemstones, and when in doubt, bring your fine jewelry to a local jeweler to be cleaned.
